the sugar snap story
When her oldest son was born, Chasity began taking his pictures. She never thought learning to take better photographs of her baby would turn into her passion and then become a successful business. She believed even then that the tiny details often captured by camera that turn a moment in your life, to art. Chasity knew even from the beginning something was different about Sugar Snap Photography. God even prompted her to name it something different from her own name as is so common among photographers.
Five years later, when God told her to give it away, she quickly knew why.
Amber, like Chasity, never thought taking pictures would be how she would be able to leave her secure teaching job and be home with her three little ones. But at God’s clear direction, Amber, like Chasity, stepped away from her job as an elementary school teacher and continued to flourish with God’s hand directly in every step of the process for seven years as the photographer behind Sugar Snap.
And in 2020, God whispered again. It’s time.
Meanwhile, Rebecca was right there. As Amber’s sister-in-law, Sugar Snap would remain in the family yet be taken over by a technically trained photographer with a background of years in the business.
Yet one thing remains… the awesomeness of God and how He orchestrates and works. He is in every detail. He is in the name, the work and every detail of the lives of each of us who He has used to build such a beautiful gift of a business. He’s in each photo. The natural light that shines on each detail of the faces and moments captured by Sugar Snap.
It is Him.
