Loss.
Grief.
Rejoicing.
A beautiful little miracle.
And this little teddy bear is resting next to the newest miracle. Because that little teddy bear weighs just as much as James’ big sister did when she was born at only 28 weeks.
Margaret and Travis were not able to bring her home to her lavender, beautifully decorated nursery.
But God gave them James Mead, named after Travis’ late father and Margaret’s father. Like the threads woven together in this quilt gifted by Margaret’s grandmother, God has written their story and woven these threads in midst of loss.
And this story of heartbreak finds His light in this miracle of the new life that wakes them in the middle of the night.
That smiles at them.
The story of His mercy and grace in every single day.
