Her dream, and reality, was on track to attend a Division I school as a gymnast.
But a minor injury turned major and thwarted those plans she dreamed of since she was a little girl.
But because of what gymnastics had taught her–strength, determination, grit, she never quit.
The year off from training showed her what God had truly planned.
And it was, of course, much better than what she envisioned.
The “silver lining” as her mom called it, is that she had dreamed, too, of becoming a physical therapist, but because she spent a year in therapy, she chose another path.
That of defending our country’s national security.
