I stole the most beautiful flower girl away from a beautiful Cateechee reception to take a picture of her in front of the stunning Christmas tree set in the lobby of the Cateechee Country Club.
As we walked away after taking a few pictures, she looked up at me with her twinkling eyes and said, “This is the bestest day of my whole life!”
She grinned and went on, “I’m putting this in my memory box.”
My heart melted right there on the spot.
And the entire day was just this way in the small, sweet town of Hartwell, GA. The small moments that filled the entire day with full hearts. Tears that flowed from the bridesmaids as Caroline wrote her letter to her daddy. Her speech prepared to give to the guests at the reception so they would know, too, her deep feelings for her family.
Danielle and Kevin, both overcome with emotion in the midst of a hard year yet so overcome by so many that came to celebrate with them. To celebrate them, their love, their friendship, their forever.
Capturing these moments is always an honor, one that leaves me breathless, and in such awe of His grace.
As we walked out of the reception, I saw Kevin and Danielle in there alone wrapped in the most beautiful sacred moment – their last dance completely alone. I snuck in the corner and could not help but freeze a few of these moments.
And as we left, Danielle looked at me and said, “That was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Cue the tears one more time.
Congratulations, sweet friends. You are oh, so loved and we are ALL so grateful for you.
