Six years ago today they said I do. And if you’ve been for a while you know in that post I talked about how much my best friend and I LOVED My Best Friend’s Wedding growing up. And six years ago today, my best brother got married to his best girl.
They said yes to a lifetime of forever friendship.
They said yes.
They said yes to making a peaceful home.
They said yes to the opportunity to create a space where children would flourish and grow.
They said yes.
And today, they celebrate their sixth anniversary with the most beautiful gift they could ever dream of—a baby girl.
My baby brother who married his best girl—well, now they are now mommy and daddy.
My baby brother. The one I carried around my hip and tried to mother unsuccessfully my whole life is now a daddy.
Kathleen Elaine entered this world Tuesday morning, July 16 weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces and 21” long.
Pure perfection.
They said yes.
And God granted them forever.

You have shared your gifts with so many, and I for that I am so grateful and proud of you. Thank you so much Amber! I am Elaine’s sister, Vickie, and these beautiful pictures brought tears to my eyes. This amazing family of 3 made me a Great Aunt and my mother a Great Grandmother for the 3rd time. We are so blessed to have this beautiful family in our lives. My husband , Mother and I were able to meet precious Kate on July 18th, and our hearts almost burst with joy and love! Thank you again for sharing these beautiful pictures, and we are looking forward to many more!
